Heirloom Tomato Tart With Burrata

This simple Heirloom Tomato Tart pairs bright heirloom tomatoes with flaky puff pastry and creamy burrata. A simple summer appetizer

Puff pastry is one of my favorite vehicles for easy yet super elegant tarts. You can use it in other ways too.

All you have to do is defrost it, put whatever you want on it and bake it and 99% of the time, magic happens.

Ingredients for Heirloom Tomato Tart With Burrata – 1 sheet frozen puff pastry, thawed – 1/4 cup pesto (I store bought) – 1 large heirloom tomato, thinly sliced – 1 round burrata – fresh basil, for topping – salt + pepper

Servings - 1, Prep Time - 15 mins, Cooking Time - 20 mins, Type - Tart

This tart is best the day it is made, although it will keep in the fridge for a day or two if needed.

Basically, it uses fig jam and mozzarella with tomatoes, because it tastes good.

If you're basically going to make a pizza on puff pastry, go really light on the crusts. It's also good to put in too much jam, too many tomatoes, and too much cheese.
